Offering a unique perspective of life with the birds high in the ancient Rimu and Kamahi tree canopy, the canopy walk offers quite simply breathtaking vistas and an insight into canopy eco-systems. Easy access for all to enjoy along a steel platform 20 metres high and over 450 metres long.
This is a totally unique experience in New Zealand and offers the only opportunity to see New Zealand's famous rain forests from the "top down". Come and enjoy a leisurely 45 minute to one hour stroll, listen to the native bird song and take a moment to "hear the quiet"!

balade dans la canopée
Promenade à 20 mètres du sol très belle et très documentée. Attention le parc ferme à 4 PM et il faut bien compter 1h30 pour profiter pleinement du site.

Stunning Views
We were fortunate to visit on a beautiful sunny winters day. The views to the snow capped mountains and Lake Mahinapua from 20m up amongst the trees were truly stunning.

Not worth for the money
The experience did not meet expectations regarding value for money, time invested, and the effort required for the drive.

Outing on a chilly winter's day
Dress warm, put on your beanie and take the walk to experience the best side of nature. It is quite a challenging walk to where you enter the platforms. Depending on your fitness level, it may take longer to complete than anticipated. We were quite disappointed that the café on the premises was closed and we could not purchase some refreshments. Overall, it was a good experience.
