All aboard our 4WD Ford Ranger for a day of sightseeing and off-roading in the beautiful countryside surrounding Wanaka.
We take you off the beaten track to visit the historic Bendigo goldfields where your guide (a former miner) will explain about the old mine shafts and tunnels as you explore.
Heading off through the spectacular Dunstan Range and onto the rugged Thompson Gorge track where you can take in the sights of the mountains and more ancient mining relics.
Enjoy the scenic route through the famous Kawerau Gorge as we head to the wine region where you can choose to stop for lunch or wine tastings in Cromwell, Gibbstown, or Arrowtown.
Weather permitting we will take the Crown Range route - New Zealand's highest main road - on our journey back to Wanaka.

We had an awesome day out with Doug, driving up onto the nevis range and up roads our rental car would have struggled, viewing historic gold mines, vineyards and honey mead tasting and the scenery and views were amazing. The tour was taylored to us and the knowledge we received from his gold mining experience was incredible. Thanks so much for a relaxing day seeing the sights.

Fabulous trip!
Doug’s fantastic knowledge of all things mining and local bought to life what we we saw in this trip. Such a rich mining history. Fantastic host and really enjoyed the day and would recommend to others.

Fabulous experience thanks to Doug..
Would do any of his trips again. It made my trip /holiday memorable. The bendigo goldmines a feature was my main reason for the trip ,this was outstanding. Bring your camera ...
