Join us on a magical journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Middle-earth, where the legendary world of The Lord of the Rings comes to life. This tour takes you deep into the stunning Southland region, home to some of the most iconic filming locations from the films.

Travel to Te Anau, where you’ll witness the eerie beauty of the Anduin River and the Dead Marshes. Then, continue to the majestic Mavora Lakes, where key moments from the trilogy were filmed. Stand where the Fellowship broke apart, and hear the legendary story of an actor who famously broke his toes near Fangorn Forest!

To make your adventure even more immersive, you’ll have the chance to hold and pose with real, licensed LOTR props, including swords, helmets, and even original scripts. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a curious traveler, this is a journey into Middle-earth you’ll never forget!

    If you are bringing young children on this trip, please bring something to occupy them, like an iPad, just in case they are not as into the tour as you might be.

    If you have infants under 3 and would like to arrange a private tour, please contact us directly.

    Unfortunately, our tour does not cater for people in wheelchairs, as our buses do not have a specialised lift.

    There is some walking involved in this tour on dirt tracks and the like, please wear suitable shoes.

    A 45min lunch break will be given in Te Anau, lunch at own expense.
