Come on board and experience the beauty of a scenic sailing tour to the Māori Rock Carvings, one of the most extraordinary contemporary carvings in the world. Only view-able from the water, the likeness of Ngātoroirangi towers 14-meters above Lake Taupō, surrounded by over 40 smaller carvings.
Escape from hectic life for a while and enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake’s remarkable coastline as you discover the bays and hidden bush. Listen to our experienced skippers and learn about Taupo's history and culture. Give the crew a hand hoisting the sails and take a turn on the wheel or just snuggle under some blankets and enjoy the wide selection of drinks.
Kindred Spirit sails under full sails as much as possible or gently meanders, when it is truly calm, by a quite inboard diesel engine.
Take a dip and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the largest freshwater lake in Australasia. We offer the longest swim stop out of any company on the lake (weather dependent)!
There is a bathroom and changing room facilities on board.

Beautiful
Amazing experience. We got upgraded to the catamaran so didn’t go out on Kindred spirit but omg I high recommend this. Definitely worth the money!

Pleasant boat trip
Captain Dave was pleasant and knowledgeable. They gave passengers the option of either boat since they were leaving at the same time. We went on Kindred Spirit with our group of 4 and two singles. It was almost like having a private boat tour. Boat was in good shape and sailed nicely. The rocks viewing was good, but a little crowded with a few other boats and people. Nothing the staff could do about that and we say quite a bit. Swim stop was nice. Overall would recommend if you haven’t been and are nearby.

Great adventure
Nick and Steff were an amazing crew and we loved booking this last minute trip for our honeymoon. Never seen the maori carvings and on catamaran was the perfect adventure. Thanks team and great price book me.

Awesome experience
Really great skipper, very friendly and experienced, it was a bit choppy the day we went out but it was still an amazing thing to see along with the splendid sailing experience.
