Originally a part of the Cresta Run at Coronet Peak, The Maniototo Adventure Park has transformed 350 metres of the track into an exhilarating gravity-powered ride, skilfully balancing speed and safety.
The Gold Rush luge is the newest addition to the adventure park. For those seeking the full adrenaline rush challenge, you can reach speeds of over 45 kph. For those after a more sedate ride, riders can go at their own pace using a handbrake to control their speed.
Suitable for all ages. Under 5’s can ride in front of a sibling, friend or parent.
Each session at Maniototo Adventure Park is 1 hour enabling you to have more than enough runs to satisfy your speed desires.

Curling and the luge ride
Booked the luge for an hour and our two grandsons had a exilerating time riding down it. Hadn't booked the curling experience but devided to give it a go. Was a great family fun experience, we all had a blast competing against each other.

Worth the trip
Fun for all our 7 year old had a blast going down by herself as did our older kids and us parents

A good break of you’re driving through
Quite fun. Much cheaper than the life in Q’tn but not nearly as impressive, and you have to walk up to the top of the track after each run. Friendly staff, good attention to safety. Reasonable value

Great fun
The Gold Rush luge is great fun, it is suitable for all ages as you control your own speed. Young children rde with their parent. There is a walk up the hill to the start of the luge but it isn't steep. Next time I'm in Naseby I'll certainly ride again. It's wonderful to see the ex Cresta Run from Coronet Peak back in action!

Super fun
Loved every moment of this experience. It’s only a short course and you do have a short walk back to the top but it’s no deal breaker.
