Avoid the early crowds and start your adventure the easy way with a relaxed 10:00 am departure from Denarau Marina aboard our charming vessel, the M.V. Oolooloo. Cruise smoothly over calm, clear waters as our friendly crew shares fun facts about the nearby islands and Fijian culture. Sip on coffee or tea and enjoy delicious homemade pastries as you take in the stunning views.
After a scenic 60 minute cruise, you’ll arrive at Savala Island—a peaceful, private paradise with soft white sands, clear turquoise waters, and shady spots to unwind. This boutique island experience is limited to smaller groups, so you get more space, more peace, and more personal attention.
Whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation, there’s something for everyone. Snorkel in vibrant coral reefs, paddle a kayak or stand-up board, explore the marine life in a glass-bottom boat, or simply stretch out in the shade with a cool drink. Kids and adults alike will love the warm, interactive staff and fun island activities, including fish feeding, coconut demos, and Fijian handicrafts.
A tasty BBQ buffet lunch is served with live music in the island’s main bure, followed by more time to play or relax. You can even treat yourself to a soothing massage (extra cost) before heading back.
As we cruise home, enjoy afternoon tea with more fresh cake and a final round of refreshments. By the time we return to Denarau at 4:30 pm, you’ll be smiling from ear to ear with unforgettable memories of your day in paradise.

- Meet at Oolala Cruises booth 9:30 am - Time to Check-In.
- Boat departs Port Denarau 10:00 am - Cruise to Savala Island and safety briefing.
- Morning Tea 10:30 am - Coffee / Tea/Homemade Cake. Refreshments available, the bar opens!
- Boat anchors off Savala Island 11:15 am - First snorkelling location, alternatively guests can transfer to the island for other activities.
- BBQ Buffet Lunch 12:30 pm - Served in main bure, accompanied by live entertainment and coconut demonstration.
- Baby Shark viewing & other activities resume 1:15 pm - (Glass bottom boat, kayak etc.)
- Guests depart Savala Island 3:00 pm - To cruise back to Port Denarau.
- Afternoon Tea is served 3:30 pm - Coffee / Tea / Homemade Cake. Refreshments still available.
- Boat docks at Port Denarau 4:30 pm - Guests are farewelled by crew after an enjoying an amazing day with Oolala Cruises!

Gerne wieder!
Wir haben einen wunderschönen Tag auf der kleinen Insel Savala verbracht. Die Crew war super freundlich und stets bemüht deinen Aufenthalt auf dem Boot und der Insel so perfekt wie möglich zu machen. Auf der Insel konnten wir die Kajaks und SUP benutzen, Babyhaie füttern ebenso wie Fische auf dem Glasbottom-Boot. Das Mittagessen war auch super lecker! Alle sind mit guter Laune und einem Lächeln im Gesicht Nachmittag wieder am Port Denarau angekommen. Diese Tagestour ist wärmstens weiterempfehlen, und jeden Dollar wert!

Beautiful little slice of paradise
Highly recommended! It felt exclusive since the island isn't too big. Incredibly great staff, great food, drinks and activities. Had an amazing time as a solo traveler.

Fabulous Experience
What an awesome day out! Totally recommend this trip to anyone (those with mobility issues will be challenged however). Friendly, professional team welcomes you on board their catamaran (seats about 32) with guitar and singing. 90 minute cruise to Savala Island with morning tea en route (soft drinks, tea/coffee, fruit cake, coconut biscuits). Up to 10 people can sit up front on the nets which is great fun (can get wet). At Savala a small tender takes you ashore. Crew is on hand to assist but as mentioned earlier, this transfer could be problematic for the elderly or those with mobility issues. 2 warriors in traditional garb greet you (photo op) and you make your way up the sandy beach to the main facilities (open air dining room with picnic bench seatings, kitchen, flush toilet & out door fresh water showers). Plenty of sun lounges, a hammock, outdoor picnic tables. Snorkelling gear as well as paddle boards & sea kayaks are available to use. Lunch is a basic (but generous) BBQ buffet with potato & egg salad, green salad, chop suey-type of noodles, chicken, sausages and lamb chops. Cut up Tropical fruit and Fruit juice also. Open bar serves red & white wine, beer and soft drinks. You are encouraged to come back for seconds (or thirds) and it was most satisfying. This really is a wonderful day trip to an amazing destination. Lots of fish, other sea life & coral to see when snorkelling or out in glass bottom boat

Ein rundum gelungener Tag
Nachdem unsere Bookme Buchung manuel umgebucht wurde ("an Ihrem gebuchten Wunschtag sind wir ausgebucht") und der Shuttle Fahrer uns vergessen hatte, waren wir skeptisch, wie der Tag weitergeht. Aber es wurde perfekt! Die Tour guides waren sehr aufmerksam und informativ, der Ablauf war gut geplant, die Zeit auf der Insel betrug 4 Stunden, die Fahrten mit dem relativ kleinen Boot (super:bei uns waren nur 30 Gäste!) dauern etwa 1 Stunde, das Essen war okay, das Schnorcheln hervorragend, die Stimmung toll. Außerdem wurden kostenfrei Aufsitzkayaks und SUPs samt Schwimmwesten angeboten, eine Masseurin war zudem an Bord. Herzlichen Dank an das tolle Team vor Ort! Ein Highlight auf Fiji.
