Our Sky Tonight | Aimed at ages 10+ | 50 minutes
Uncover the beauty of the evening sky with Our Sky Tonight, Stardome’s signature live planetarium show. Led by a knowledgeable astronomer, guests will journey through the stars, constellations, and celestial stories visible above Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland on the night of their visit. Relax beneath the immersive digital dome as the experience unfolds in real time, creating a unique adventure every evening. Families with children under 10 are encouraged to enjoy the more suitable Looking Up presentation.

Discover Ngā Whetū o Takurua (The Stars of Winter), an engaging planetarium experience that explores the night sky through a Māori worldview. One Sky is a collection of six short planetarium films exploring constellations, tools, and star lore across global cultures. Each short is brought to life through a distinct artistic style created by international artists. Since ancient times, humanity has turned to the stars for navigation, timekeeping, and shared identity. Discover how traditional celestial knowledge connects us all beneath one shared sky.
T-Rex | Aimed at ages 5+ | 45 minutes
Dinosaurs may rule the box office, but Tyrannosaurus rex remains the ultimate king. wonderful experience
What a wonderful experience for both adults and children. We saw perfect little planet. It was the perfect length for my 6 year old as he sat still for the entire thing, which speaks volumes! It was informative but also entertaining. Only thing i would mention is it’s not suitable for those with motion sickness.

Looking Up
As an adult, this presentation was somewhat interesting but this session was purchased because I thought my 5yo nephew would enjoy it. It was momentarily fascinating but quickly lost his attention as the narration was too factual and focus not 'kid-friendly' enough. We ended up leaving a little early.

Awesome experience!
A very cool place. The last time I was here was maybe when I was 10 or 11 years old and it’s no surprise that it still remains. Went to an 8:30 show and it was a great turnout. Staff are super friendly and the experience itself is very unique—not sure if Auckland offers anything similar. You leave Stardome in awe of all the information you’ve just absorbed. Highly recommend!
