Time of my life
For my first fishing experience on a fishing charter with an experienced skipper and other enthusiatic keen fishers, I really enjoyed it and felt encouraged. My experience from the start to the end was awesome! It was great learning from Master Mike, he could skip ashore in his sleep with the knowledge, skills and passion he has for being out on the water. I will be back and this time with my own bait runner and squid bait!! 🤞🏽 thanks The Red Boats, what a thrill!! everyone should give it a go, have no expectations to catch and just enjoy the whole experience on the water looking at our beautiful city and fishing in our beautiful country. We were lucky enough to fish infront of Rangitoto!

Just wow! An experience full of sensations 😍
Don't expect an attraction full of tourists, here you will be surrounded by real local fishermen and enjoy a unique fishing experience. A little tip, buy your baits the day before the fishing shops close around (5pm) . Take squid and pilchards with a small knife. Despite the fact that we weren't prepared enough (our fault), the local fishermen shared some bait with us, which shows the big heart of New Zealanders 💓. I was cold despite my sweater and Captain Mark kindly lent me one of his jackets! Thanks again ☺️ We went as a couple and both of us caught some fish! The RedBoats knows the fishing area well and knows where to take you for the maximum of sensations and fish. If you want to live a fishing experience in the heart of a New Zealand life, choose them! Thanks again from the fishermen of New Caledonia ☺️🤩🙏 Ps: Don't rely on my pictures for the size of the fish, there were huge ones at the end of other fishermen's fishing rods, but I don't dare put them on. And as for ours, the excitement made me forget to take a picture of them 😅🥰

Wasn’t great.
This trip yesterday wasn’t nearly as good as the last one, we left bang on time but literally over half of the 9 hour trip I can’t get my head around how much our lines were barely in the water an then we were having to pull up lines an move somewhere else. Last trip was sooo good but this trip not impressed, I understand skipper needs to find the fish but way to much time travelling round an round an round, not enough fishing time I figured we must of only gotten 3.5hrs of fishing. 😑

Fabulous Evening with Frosty - The Real Mike
Forth time on Red Boat , 3rd with Frosty Mike !! He is an AMAZING skipper.. Attentive, super friendly, great sense of humour and goes above and beyond to ensure u get fish in your bin !! Frosty Mike works Wednesday to Sunday .. If u want an amazing experience, ensure you book those days with him .. Sadly , I can’t say the same for the other “Mike” 😏 We had an extremely disappointed trip with him the last time we went out .. Many thanks for another wonderful trip out Frosty Mike .. See you again soon !!
