Great experience

The trip was amazing. The only issue was because was raining a lot in the morning and we couldn't get a 100% refund. Anyway, we devide to go ahead with the trip and the weather got better on the afternoon. Was a great experience and I highly recommend.

Fabulous Abel Tasman Experience

What a fabulous way to experience the Abel Tasman. We did the Great Day Out - Cruise and Walk including Tonga Marine Reserve with Wilsons Abel Tasman. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful experience. From the check in at Kaiteriteri which was simple, through to boarding the Vista which was quick and efficient. The staff were informative throughout the journey with a commentary informing of locations of interest and the history of the area. We dropped off groups at various bays throughout the Abel Tasman and we carried on up to Totaranui and back down the bays to be dropped off at Tonga Quarry where we did the walk through to Medlands Beach where we were picked up approximately three hours later. The walk was spectacular and there was ample time for lunch on the beach and a swim in the bay before before picking up by the Vista for return to Kaiteriteri. We were fortunate to have wonderful weather. There are lots of options available for drop off and pick up for different stages of the walk. This is an experience not to miss and definitely worth every dollar. I would definitely do it again.

Great trip but not exactly as indicated

I would have given this trip five stars if it had been as described, the staff and boat were excellent, the lunches we purchased also great. We were disappointed though as the walk listed as 2 hours actually took 40minutes so we had a long time sitting around waiting and it felt like a needlessly long day. Would recommend a better breakdown of distance/timing because in our case it meant the day consisted mostly of a boat trip. We would have selected another option if we had known. Otherwise couldn’t fault the trip provided.

Ok

It was nice day trip. You cruise coast area until Totaranui bay then come back to Tonga Quarry. On the way, you’ll see split apple rock and Tonga island to see seals. You walk between Tonga Quarry and Medlands beach. I was disappointed a bit because this track for 2hrs for average person but have to wait 1.5hrs for do nothing. I recommend to bring togs and swim while you wait for ferry.

Cruise & walk-Tonga to Medlands beach

A wonderful day out, suitable for all ages taking in the beautiful Abel Tasman beaches and forest. Great boat trip all the way up to Totaranui. Very helpful staff on boat as pretty rough in the windy conditions. Easy walk taking much less than 2hrs giving more time to enjoy the beach. Recommend as a day trip.
