This tour offers you a wonderful scenic drive (5 hours from Motueka, 6 ½ hours from Nelson) through the Tasman Region and Golden Bay.
On the tour are 4 highlights, most travelers do not want to miss:
The wild and remote “Wharariki Beach” will allow you to take in spectacular coastlines, caverns, islands and enormous sand dune. You might even see seals if we have a lucky day!
We will have a stop close to Farewell Spit. You will be able to take in the stunning views over Farewell Spit.
You will also see “Te Waikoropupu Springs”, known for the clarity of its the water and the volume of water discharged. The springs are spiritually significant to Maori people.
You'll be intrigued with Takaka, a colorful, lifestyler town with wonderful lunch stop options, interesting shops, and locals.

Great tour
We had an amazing time with Karin and the tour was very interesting. The stops we made were really beautiful and Karin told us a lot of exciting facts. All in all we had a lovely experience. Regards Johanna and Elena P.S.: Danke für die super Tour, Karin!

Unforgettable experience
Even though there were linger driving periods troughout the trip the destinations were gorgeous and one of the most beautiful places I ever visited. Our guide had lots of stories to tell about the regions and landmarks. Very pleasant driving and guiding over the course of the day! I’d 100% do it again!

Amazing views, nice people and well organised tour
Highly recommended to go and see the best of the best around the top of the South Island with Karin and her Tasman Tours. Clean and comfortable van/mini bus. Very gentle rides. Well explained local history and geography. The cafe in Takaka that Karin recommended offers the best bakeries/pies that you can't normally find in busy cities. Light to medium exercise level (only a couple of 20 minute walks). Overall, it was an unforgettable tour. I'll definitely recommend my friends and colleagues to join Karin's tours. Thanks Karin for making my Nelson trip much much better than I expected. Ta.
